Many things will change next year in villaging country. The biggest one being Lemax is NOT being imported by edelman anymore. I have collected info from many different sources, and this is what I am looking at today:

Lemax:

In 2006 imported by Lemaxeurope bv in the Netherlands

The company is based in the Netherlands, and has contacted kerstdorpen.nl themselves.
(dutch members) might be invited to visit the showroom.


Luville:

In 2006 imported by Edelman in the Netherlands

If the rumours are right, prices like Lemax this year
The company is based in the Netherlands, and is pretty hard to get in touch with.
There was mentioning of a showroom visit, but still unsure



Department 56:

In 2006 imported by a company in the Netherlands

Expensive (!)
The company is based in the northern parts of the Netherlands, and has contacted kerstdorpen.nl themselves.

Since Edelman lost the right to import Lemax in Europe, they started their own village line: Luville. It is aimed mostly at French users (!), and consists of 4 villages:

-"Chateau sur mer" - French coastal village
-"Ville de Reidy" - French rural village
-"Bridburry" - 19th century English village
-"Schneewald" - German ski-resort

The Chateau sur mer and ville de Reidy will have French lettering (boulangerie and such), Bridburry will be english and Schneewald ofcourse in German.

I have seen Luville vilages and have an opinion I would like to keep to myself for the moment. The houses (mostly) have 3 stories, while Lemax (usually) has 2. The houses are sized after Lemax villages though. The figurines are perfect I have seen many superb figurines with super ideas !

As far as I understood, Luville will be distributed through the old Lemax routes (garden centres) in Frnace, and Edelman will be leaning heavily towards France
